Advising for Transfer Students

Transfer students are defined as students who have previously matriculated at one or more accredited institution(s). This does not include students who completed dual enrollment through their secondary education and/or students who received advanced placement (AP) credit through their secondary education.

Our goal for advising transfer students includes, but is not limited to:

  • Mapping out remaining semesters of required major and core curriculum requirements based on student鈥檚 transfer evaluation
  • Clarifying university policies that may differ from their previous institution(s)
  • Integrating students with campus life and resources
  • Addressing financial concerns, including making students aware of various financial aid outlets specialized for transfer and non-traditional students
