Events & Community

At Roger Williams University we know that community is an important part of a college experience. From our Weeks of Welcome in the fall, to Spring Week and Commencement in the spring, our students have the opportunity to attend several events rich in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ history that promote a sense of community on campus. It’s always a great day to be a Hawk!

New Student Events

Even before classes start, the campus is committed to welcoming incoming Hawks to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ at Orientation and Convocation. Once you’re officially on campus and either settling into a Living Learning Community, or taking Roger’s Seminar, there are several opportunities beyond the classroom to acquaint you to the University, like participating in 30 days  of events during the Weeks of Welcome!

Homecoming & Family Weekend

Our favorite fall weekend when we welcome families and alumni back to campus for a variety events. From Casino Night to comedy shows, athletic events to student performances, it’s a weekend full of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ fun, and a wonderful time to enjoy Fall in Bristol, RI.

Annual Events

Student Programs, Leadership and Orientation and our 7 student run organizations work tirelessly all year to ensure Hawks’ spirits are high and Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ traditions are kept alive.

Commencement

Every year Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ celebrates the Commencement of undergraduate, graduate and continuing studies students. Students and families can stay informed with all things commencement related from event details to photos and honorary degrees.
