    Roger Life: From Undergraduate Research to Tropical Coral Career

    Marine Biology major Tommy Demarco 鈥21 will apply what he learned through his undergraduate research at 香港六合彩开奖资料 to his new career as a Microbiology Technician at the Smithsonian Marine Station in Fort Pierce, Fla. Demarco will be working to support coral reef resilience and survival, focusing on tropical coral recruitment and stony coral tissue loss disease.

    Roger Life: Intern at State Legislatures Honing Policy Skills Before Law School

    Political Science major Rachael Rooklin '21 served as an intern at the Rhode Island General Assembly this semester, writing policy on providing more affordable mental health care access for Rhode Island鈥檚 unhoused population. She will intern at the Massachusetts Legislature this summer as she prepares to apply for law school, and hopes to become a disability-rights lawyer and activist.

    Roger Life: College Degree a Lifelong Goal for UC鈥檚 Cheryl Vertefeuille

    University College student Cheryl Vertefeuille '21 will accomplish a life goal when she graduates next Saturday with a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Leadership, and Management: 鈥淚t's been a long time coming. I feel relief, excitement, and joy.鈥 At Commencement, Vertefeuille will be wearing a stole that says "First Generation,鈥 with her two teenagers in the audience as she proudly walks across the stage.

    Roger Life: Senior Design Team Wins Diversity and Inclusion Contest

    Engineering majors Michaela Curcio, Celeste Hartley, Josh Machado, Corey Mendonca, Kristen Norray, and Christopher Usaty won the Haley & Aldrich essay contest on diversity and inclusion for their essay on their Senior Design Project, 鈥淩edesigning the Built World: An Adaptive and Inclusive Playground for All Users.鈥 The team鈥檚 playground design included wheelchair-accessible slides, interactive musical panels, adaptive monkey bars, and other innovations.

    Roger Life: Double Major Well Equipped for Law School

    So far this spring, Jillian Houle 鈥21, has received a full-tuition scholarship to Pace University, acceptance to Lewis and Clark University, and is waiting to hear back from five schools. She says her two majors are 鈥渢he best pairing possible鈥 to prepare for law school.

    Roger Life: From Analytics winner to Boston Data Engineer

    Misha Dubuc 鈥21, Computer Science and Mathematics Major who was born in Zushi, Japan, and grew up in Bristol, R.I., has accepted a position as an Associate Data Engineer at OM1 Outcomes and Advanced Analytics in Boston, Mass. He will be maintaining and analyzing clinical data for medical academies.
