LGBTQI+ Health

Health Services offers a wide range of LGBTQI+ services, from appropriate contraceptives to providing sharps disposal bins for those using injectable hormones.

Our staff is Safe Zone trained. We are committed to ensuring health equity and improving the health of LGBTQI+ individuals, while providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all students.

  • Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention
  • Condoms
  • Contraceptive management
  • Safe sex information
  • Blood drawing
  • Administration of OR assistance with administering injectable hormones (must bring your medication in the original packaging with the pharmacy label intact)
  • Provide and dispose of sharps containers.

Transgender Health

At Health Services, we serve all students, including those who identify as transgender and/or gender non-conforming, and/or intersex.  We recognize that transgender students are sometimes hesitant to access health care, so we work hard to create and maintain a space where students can ask questions, get answers, and receive compassionate health care in a supportive environment.

Our providers can refer students to specialists knowledgeable in gender transition. We, along with our Counseling Center colleagues, believe it is important to provide ongoing support and primary care services with respect and knowledge of the medical and emotional issues unique to transitioning.
