Sophomore Sydney Holmes and Senior Rees Harold, Campus Entertainment Network Traditions Chairs, have been working hard to plan 香港六合彩开奖资料's annual Spring Week this week, known for its concert, comedy show, block party, and fireworks. They encourage their fellow Hawks to keep to 香港六合彩开奖资料's pandemic protocols so that Spring Week and other yearly traditions can be enjoyed as fully as possible.

Each Event Has Multiple Plans: 鈥淲e鈥檝e been able to host full, in-person events this semester,鈥 said Harold. 鈥淚t鈥檚 been a huge learning experience. Every event has a Plan A, B, C, and D. It takes a lot of meetings, a lot of talking, and a lot of planning. We are working closely with Carol Sacchetti [Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Student Programs, Leadership, & Orientation], who is working closely with John King [Vice President of Student Life]. We are also working with outside vendors, so we reach out to them and make sure each food truck or amusement vendor鈥檚 policy is adapted to what is required for Roger Williams.鈥

COVID Testing Allows For Fun: 鈥溝愀哿喜士弊柿镶檚 COVID testing program is almost like having a little bubble where we can feel safer knowing that everyone on campus is being tested. It allows us to put on our traditional events,鈥 Holmes said. 鈥淧eople know how much the event planners go through to make sure everyone is following social distancing guidelines, so they can relax and have fun. We see all our work pay off because we see how happy and excited the students are to be there.鈥

Seeing Spring Come to Fruition: 鈥淚t鈥檚 amazing that we are able to be here, this far in the semester, and that we made it all through last semester,鈥 Harold said. 鈥淚 really wanted to finish in person, graduate, and see all the events I wanted to do last spring come to fruition. This is what we鈥檝e been working on for a long time. We want to put it on for everybody.鈥

Harold, of Westerly, R.I., is majoring in Political Science and will be working for the Fire Logistics Communication office in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming after graduating. Holmes, of Chelmsford, Mass., is majoring in Public Relations.
