Dr. Sozer is an Assistant Professor in the School of Justice Studies at Roger Williams University with a diverse background in law enforcement, counter-terrorism, and international security. His expertise and experience have led him to work with various universities, government-based think tanks, and esteemed international entities including the Organization for Security and Cooperation of Europe (OSCE), the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum (GCTF), and the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC).
Dr. Sozer's dedication to scholarly work is reflected in his extensive publication records, encompassing various formats. Furthermore, he has also undertaken numerous field research projects, funded by several entities. This research has provided valuable insights into real-world challenges, enriching the knowledge and evidence-based practices in law enforcement and counter-terrorism.
Dr. Sozer's passion for education, research, and contributing to societal well-being remains unwavering. He teaches Criminology, White-Collar Crime, International Policing, Terrorism, Introduction to Criminal Justice, and Justice Studies Capstone, and continues to publish in the areas of policing, radicalization, and international security.
