Dr. Gupta鈥檚 current research interests include green computing and computational sustainability with a focus on developing solutions for making Internet-scale and residential systems greener. She is also interested in computer science education research. In addition, her interests include exploring how visualization and art can be used in the teaching of computer science. She completed her PhD in computer science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her MS in computer science from the University of Missouri Kansas City. She also holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in mathematics from the University of Delhi, India. In addition to working in academia, Dr. Gupta has also worked as a software engineer at IBM in Austin, TX.
