Lynn Ruggieri is a Professor of Accounting at the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University. Professor Ruggieri earned her Associate in Science degree at CCRI. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters in Taxation from Bryant College and an MBA from Providence College. She earned her Juris Doctor at University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. She is a CPA and a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner). Her teaching work has earned her two nominations for the University Excellence in Teaching Award in 2012 and 2014. She is active in celebrating the veteran鈥檚 community in Rhode Island, serving as keynote speaker for the State of Rhode Island Veterans Day celebration in 2013 and volunteering and presenting at meetings of Korean War veterans and at the Veterans Home in Bristol Rhode Island. Her community service was recognized with an Outstanding Alumni Award from CCRI at the 50th Anniversary celebration in 2015. Her areas of teaching include Advanced Accounting, Auditing, Fraud Examination and International Accounting. She serves as a reviewer for NACRA (North American Case Research Association) and NEDSI (Northeast Decision Science Institute). In addition to presentations at NACRA and NEDSI she has been published in The Case Research Journal and the Journal of Business Case Studies.
