Lindsey Pike
Dr. Lindsey Pike joined Roger Williams University in the fall of 2023. She received a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Central Florida.  Previously, she worked in Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, Fla., for 10 years as a school social worker and then a special education teacher at the secondary level. Dr. Pike holds a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) and a Masters Certificate as an Intervention Specialist, both also from the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Pike’s professional and research interests focus on teacher education, social justice in education, inclusive and equitable practices, and intersectionality. She is passionate about research and practice to build the knowledge, skills and dispositions of future educators to serve all students. Dr. Pike also engages in interdisciplinary work around disability, access, and education across fields and professions. She has presented and published within multiple international and national conferences and publications.
At Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ, Dr. Pike teaches in the undergraduate Elementary and Secondary Education programs, Education Studies, and the Master’s Program in Special Education. This includes introductory theory and methods courses for special education and advanced courses on intervention, behavior, and postsecondary transition for students with disabilities. Within the university, Dr. Pike is co-faculty sponsor for the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ Best Buddies organization and a member of the Diversity Leadership Council focused on DEI within Student Life at Roger Williams.
