Architecture Field Trips
Field experiences are a central element of the school鈥檚 programs, involving local, regional and sometimes international travel. The New England region is one of the most important areas of the country for accessible cultural resources, historic and contemporary architecture. Introductory, intermediate, advanced and graduate courses routinely travel to sites within New England and to important urban areas such as Boston and New York. At the graduate level, some Architecture courses includes travel to sites and architecture offices for Graduate Architectural Design and Integrative Design Studios, which have included in recent years trips to Philadelphia, Chicago, the Dominican Republic, Zurich and others areas in Europe, with expenses supported by the School. Courses in Preservation Practices open to all Cummings School graduate students include routine courses meetings in the region with organizations and firms.
