Estudio Mac铆as Peredo is an award winning architecture office in Guadalajara, M茅xico, formed by Salvador Mac铆as, Magui Peredo and Diego Quirarte. Diego Quirarte graduated with honors and first of his class, as an architect from the Instituto Tecnol贸gico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, TEC 2011. Completed a postgraduate on Professional Project Management at the Universidad Panamericana, UP 2011. Completed a Workshop at Boisbuchet, Lessac, France, with Architect Alvaro Siza on 2015. He is partner of Estudio Mac铆as Peredo since 2019.
Macias Peredo鈥檚 first project was a competition-winning installation design for Pabell贸n Eco 2013 at the Museo Experimental El Eco in Mexico City. The installation was simple, but transformative. It inserted a sloping ground plane within the museum鈥檚 sunken courtyard that connected the building鈥檚 floor-to-ceiling windows with the elevated street, activating a space that had previously been restricted. Most of the studio鈥檚 work, however, is made up of residences and office projects. Standouts among the houses include Casa Arenas in Guadalajara, Casa Atlas in Zapopan, and Casa Prado in Tapalpa. Each of these projects exhibit the raw materiality, simple forms, and hand-crafted character that shows the studio鈥檚 commitment to traditional Mexican building. Meanwhile, the practice鈥檚 commercial projects, such as the Toyo Food Offices in Zapopan or the Oficinas Hidalgo, prove that Macias Peredo is no stranger to sleek modernism.
